Capretto Renato
A family winery in Grazzano since the early 1800s: Grignolino, Barbera and metodo classico sparkling wine.
Homemade Piedmontese cooking: pasta rolled by hand, local meat, and the long, slow cooking the classics demand. The menu changes every month with the seasons, but the Piedmontese classics never leave it.
During white truffle season, two dedicated options join our regular menu.
€50 · wine not included
White truffle is not included: it is added separately at the day's price, and you decide how much you'd like.
Prices follow the day's truffle market price: just ask us in the dining room or by phone.
You can also choose a whole truffle: we weigh it in front of you and you shave as much as you like over your dishes.
Groups: for groups we can prepare a set menu to suit you (for example a starter, first course and dessert, or the full menu) at an agreed price. Call us for a quote.
We can make child-sized portions and dishes on request. Vegetarian, vegan or coeliac? Ask us what we can offer at the moment.
A few minutes from Moncalvo, in the heart of Monferrato
Your lunch break, Piedmont style. Monday to Friday (we are closed on Tuesdays), a fixed-price lunch menu for people at work: dishes from our menu, homemade as always, served unhurried under the farmhouse's brick vaults.
12:00 to 14:30. No need to book, but if you call us we'll keep a table for you. For today's dishes and the price, ask in the dining room or give us a call.

We are in the Astigiano Monferrato, the land of Barbera, Grignolino and Ruché, a few kilometres from hills that have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014. Our wine list is short and built on people: we choose each label with the people who make it, just a few kilometres from here.
